Stories With Heart
Children's stories, a spirited dog named Biscuit, and a belief that kindness makes a difference.
The Dog Who Chose Me
...and the Dream That Finally Came True
Reading was my escape when life brought circumstances I couldn't control. I started writing in high school, but doubted that my words were good enough. Years later, on an extremely hot day, a pit bull approached me on a walk. He wouldn't leave me alone. I promised him food and water if he waited outside a store. When I returned, he was still there.
What began as fostering Biscuit until he found a home became a happy foster fail. Biscuit had chosen his forever family—and he was the missing piece in my heart. Sharing his adventures in books brought my dream of writing back to life.
“He was the missing piece in my heart.”
